Paige Bueckers was happy her technical foul from Friday night’s game against Atlanta was rescinded by the league on Sunday. Not only did it save her the $500 fine, but more importantly it kept her with none for the season which was important for her “bet” with Dallas teammate Alysha Clark. The two have a friendly wager that Bueckers wouldn’t get one this season.
Playing at home hasn’t provided much comfort for WNBA teams this season. Out of the 15 teams, only New York has a winning record at home. This is the worst percentage to start a season by home teams in the league’s 30-year history, according to Elias Sports Bureau stats provided to The Associated Press by the WNBA.
The forward leads the Sky in scoring, averaging 18 points per game.

A day after Caitlin Clark was a late scratch because of a back injury, the Indiana Fever received a warning from the WNBA for not reporting the injury sooner, the league confirmed to The Associated Press on Thursday night. Clark missed Wednesday’s 90-73 victory over Portland. The Fever disclosed Clark’s injury less than two hours before tipoff.
Paige Bueckers scored 24 points and Azzi Fudd added 17 of her season-high 24 in the third quarter to lift the Dallas Wings to a 91-76 win over the New York Liberty on Sunday, spoiling the season-debut of Sabrina Ionescu. Fudd, the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft in April, took over in the third quarter with her team trailing by one at the start of the half. Dallas made seven 3-pointers in the quarter to go up 71-61 heading to the final 10 minutes.
