Chicago Sky are off to strong start although may have lost Rickea Jackson to knee injury
The Chicago Sky got off to a hot start to the WNBA season, but the health of young star Rickea Jackson is foremost on their minds after she had a non-contact injury on her left knee in Sunday’s win over Minnesota. Jackson injured her knee in the second quarter and will have imaging done on Monday. The Sky went 3-1 on the season-opening road trip and will return home to face Dallas on Wednesday.
WNBA faces an odd statistic. Home teams have only won 29% of games
Playing at home hasn’t provided much comfort for WNBA teams this season. Out of the 15 teams, only New York has a winning record at home. This is the worst percentage to start a season by home teams in the league’s 30-year history, according to Elias Sports Bureau stats provided to The Associated Press by the WNBA.

WNBA warns the Fever for failing to report Caitlin Clark’s injury on time
A day after Caitlin Clark was a late scratch because of a back injury, the Indiana Fever received a warning from the WNBA for not reporting the injury sooner, the league confirmed to The Associated Press on Thursday night. Clark missed Wednesday’s 90-73 victory over Portland. The Fever disclosed Clark’s injury less than two hours before tipoff.
